ABOUT ME
Hi! I am an Assistant Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship at London Business School.
I study the relationship between human capital, workplace design, and firm performance. I explore how complementary firm resources – including physical work environments – affect the value created by a firm’s people, in both established organizations and startups.
At London Business School, I teach the MBA program's Core Strategy class.
My work often combines architectural and urban design methodologies with econometric approaches to understand how workers, workflow processes and spatial layouts affect human interaction and firm performance. My research has been supported by the Strategy Research Foundation, the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development population dynamics program as well as other research grants. My findings are published in academic journals including Academy of Management Journal and Journal of Management as well as practitioner outlets in management and architecture.
Before becoming a scholar, I was an architect. I led strategy and research at an award- winning architecture and engineering firm and oversaw their client and business development efforts. I have worked with both SMEs and Fortune 500 clients across several industries including healthcare, financial services, telecommunications, logistics and distribution, and higher education.
Additionally, I have provided consulting services to various professional bodies.
I remain a licensed member of the American Institute of Architects and the National Council of Architecture Registering Boards (NCARB), and my professional experience spans the United States, the United Kingdom, and Africa.
